<\/p>\n
Us poets need come again and again.<\/p>\n
Stick brooms in hand we sweep<\/p>\n
the dirt that gathers when<\/p>\n
we live a dream as we sleep.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A rogue wave on a calm sea<\/p>\n
we say the same thing, time and time again;<\/p>\n
stand before us fearless and be free<\/p>\n
if not, away with you who’d dare pretend!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The clock ticks and we dance its demands.<\/p>\n
Round and round, we embrace and go<\/p>\n
little sparks obeying life’s light commands<\/p>\n
until the music stops and we know<\/p>\n
our story is over and never will be told.<\/p>\n
Only for us poets in rage<\/p>\n
to compress it all to gold.<\/p>\n
