And with my warm touch<\/p>\n
I would offer them immunity<\/p>\n
From the harsh glare of the masses.<\/p>\n

I would not sit in my white house<\/p>\n
With one hand waving<\/p>\n
My clitoral smelling finger,<\/p>\n
The other hand<\/p>\n
Wiping, white knuckled<\/p>\n
My plastic wrapped toilet seat.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I understand the apprehension.<\/p>\n
Yahweh still speaks to us.<\/p>\n
Hide your children, your first born!<\/p>\n
Look above!<\/p>\n
The sky is black with locusts, flies and frogs.<\/p>\n
The rumors persist;<\/p>\n
Who now is poisoning our wells?<\/p>\n
The lepers are marching on the town.<\/p>\n
Our neighbors are kissing Lucifer’s white buns.<\/p>\n
Yes. Fear, death, retribution —<\/p>\n
They plague us,<\/p>\n
But the rats know the truth.<\/p>\n

So now we lock our beroom doors and condemn.<\/p>\n
Tiptoing around in our smoking jackets<\/p>\n
We kneel down and scour the carpet<\/p>\n
In search of a stone to cast.<\/p>\n

Science cannot cure us of this.<\/p>\n
