God must have made the gun<\/p>\n
That strong, heaven sending death stick.<\/p>\n
I cannot see man, weak man<\/p>\n
Making such a perfect, infallible beast.<\/p>\n
Sticks, stones, knives and rope<\/p>\n
These are different<\/p>\n
They are not anonymous like a gun or god.<\/p>\n

Not all the hymns, from all the lips<\/p>\n
In all the churches the world over<\/p>\n
Will make me know different<\/p>\n
Faith, hope, charity, goodwill<\/p>\n
These are godly things,<\/p>\n
But so too is a gun.<\/p>\n

I am sure that if god sits<\/p>\n
On his throne high above,<\/p>\n
He sits with a gun across his lap,<\/p>\n
In fear of those below.<\/p>\n
Those below with many guns<\/p>\n
