Pennyless has<\/p>\n<p>moved to Europe and become<\/p>\n<p>a money changer<\/p>\n<p>after having a miraculous conception<\/p>\n<p>while converting<\/p>\n<p>funds for the church<\/p>\n<p>of some later day saint.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Molly, the prostitute<\/p>\n<p>finally got an agent<\/p>\n<p>and sits at home<\/p>\n<p>knitting, doing needle work<\/p>\n<p>waiting for the call to come.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Johnston, the phys. ed. teacher<\/p>\n<p>at the school on High street<\/p>\n<p>is sitting outside, right arm raised<\/p>\n<p>prepping for his next lesson<\/p>\n<p>on condom etiquette and control<\/p>\n<p>as a means of keeping the kids<\/p>\n<p>physically active.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mum and Pop have<\/p>\n<p>franchised<\/p>\n<p>and now walk their lap dog<\/p>\n<p>around and around the park in their<\/p>\n<p>customized, motorized, all weatherized<\/p>\n<p>wheelchairs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My mother has just won<\/p>\n<p>the Publisher&#8217;s Weekly Sweepstakes<\/p>\n<p>and is busy telling me about<\/p>\n<p>her plans to option the house<\/p>\n<p>and make a run on the orange juice market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Teresa my teenaged daughter<\/p>\n<p>counts the days to business school<\/p>\n<p>convicted, she stumbles through the streets<\/p>\n<p>on 8 inch platforms hoping<\/p>\n<p>her beeper will ring in public.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rogers?<\/p>\n<p>He has opened a modelling agency<\/p>\n<p>and is giving speech therapy to<\/p>\n<p>inner city kids on the side.<\/p>\n<p>His new line of clothes comes out next week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And me?<\/p>\n<p>Like any poet not worth his salt<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m schleping off all my friends<\/p>\n<p>spending my days picking<\/p>\n<p>between my crusty toes.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m buying up all my friend&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>tattered paperbacks and waiting for<\/p>\n<p>all the computers to crash.<\/p>\n<p>Then I&#8217;ll have a word or truth to write.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The heart can beat only so fast &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Ted Gacy across the street has dug up his backyard and is holding a coming out party as soon as the smell lessens.
